1. Communication with the previous Alpha group. Most of them came to the new course and we had to gently communicate that they weren't "invited" to the new one. Pray that the message "got through," that they won't come tonight, and that if they do, we'll have wisdom on how to address it.

2. Participants. Please pray for all those who come this week. Pray that God would bring the people he wants to the course and that they might be honest and open with God and themselves.

3. C and Y. These two completed the last Alpha course and at least C became a Christian on it. Due to room conditions and the groups being slightly to large, we're asking them to lead there own group this time. I believe they'll do a great job, but please pray for them as they step into this leadership role.

4. Logistics. Food (fried rice), setup, video and sound equipment, mental health etc.

5. Us. Pray that we would be filled with joy and peace today (and conversely protected from discouragement and anxiety).

6. Group time. Pray that God would guide us as we think through group placements. Pray too that the group time would be meaningful and comfortable as we discuss why Jesus died and what that means for our lives.
